About me

Hi there! I’m Erin. I’m a warm, caring, therapist who truly loves to sit and talk with other humans. I believe therapy is a partnership between people who are intentionally coming together with a goal of greater awareness of our own experiences, our own bodies, and the relationship between us. I work from a developmental trauma lens, and believe we heal through relationships and in connection to our own body.

I take concepts from a variety of different therapeutic modalities, including relational, somatic, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and gestalt. As a trauma-informed therapist, I often offer somatic (body-based) tools to help you manage and feel big emotions as they come up, and sometimes this will also look / sound like mindfulness.

I love working with a wide range of people from a variety of different backgrounds, and have a particular soft spot for folks working in tech who hold underrepresented identities.

My Background

I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral studies. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was in the world of tech for over a decade. After getting a BS in Computer Science in undergrad, I worked in a technology leadership program at a large Fortune 500 company before moving into product management for growing mid-sized software startups. I loved talking to customers and learning about their needs as a product manager, but I loved building teams, relationships, and support systems within the companies themselves even more. As it turns out, I’ve always loved the people side of things more than the tech.

Oh, hello there!
