About me

Hi there! I’m Erin. I’m a warm, caring, therapist who truly loves to sit and talk with other humans. I am passionate about working with highly-capable people who are struggling with anxiety, stress, and overwhelming emotions. Being smart and talented often comes with more “hidden” struggles that aren’t always obvious to those around you but can seriously impact your health and well-being (and even your relationships).

I take concepts from a variety of different therapeutic modalities, including relational, somatic, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and gestalt. In therapy, you will develop curiosity about your internal world and learn to mindfully notice what happens emotionally and bodily when certain thoughts or behaviors arise. I will also offer trauma-informed somatic interventions for us to try out and practice to help you support your own big feelings while shifting your nervous system over the longer term.

I love working with a wide range of people from a variety of different backgrounds, including those who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent.

My Background

I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral studies, where I have also worked as a teaching assistant for a graduate course on trauma. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was in the world of tech for over a decade, primarily working as a software product manager.

I identify as a white, bisexual, temporarily-able-bodied, middle class, highly sensitive, cisgender woman. I originally hail from the midwest (Ohio), and I have a plethora of experiences I draw on in my work. Some of those experiences and interests over my life have included being a musician, a power lifter, an editor, a puzzle-lover, a gamer, a rule follower, a mystery-fiend, and so many more.

Oh, hello there!
