A nervous system reset: the salamander
Here’s a little video to teach you the salamander. It’s a really easy exercise to do that can help reset your nervous system whenever and wherever you need it. If it works for you, that’s fantastic! If it doesn’t fully work for you the first time you do it but feels nice, I’d encourage you to try it a few more times before giving up on it. (Sometimes we’re so stuck on “high” that we remain vigilant when trying something new like this and don’t get the full benefits.) And, if it just plain doesn’t work for you or you don’t like, then please don’t do it. This is just one of many tools, and hopefully the first of many videos with other ideas.
